Fledglings Choir - Friday after school club
Fledglings Choir is a new fun choir for year 1 and 2 at Denmead Infant School, starting on Fridays after school.
The choir will cost £7 a session, billed per ½ term in advance.
This fee will include use of music provided, a dedicated choir information area on my website (link sent to members), and an invitation to open rehearsal/performances for parents and guardians
*If your child is eligible for pupil premium funding, they are entitled to one free after school activity club per term. Please let the school office know if you would like your child to use their entitlement for choir, and let me know when you email.
I have over 20 years experience singing professionally and teaching singing and choirs, I will combine all the fun and therapeutic reasons we sing, with learning how to read music, how to listen and understand music and lyrics, and how to use our voices to communicate different emotions.
Email lisa@lisamoffat.co.uk to book a place for your child, there are no auditions.
Fledglings Choir is run as a fun educational activity for children, combining singing, music games, learning about music, and performing.
In order to run the club and make it enjoyable, we ask all guardians and children to understand that school rules and codes of conduct are to be followed during choir.
I reserve the right to withdraw a place from anyone not showing kindness and respect to fellow members of choir or staff, remaining fees would be reimbursed.
Payment in advance secures a place in choir, and allows us to ensure our staff/pupil ratio is correct.
I hold a DBS certificate, am a member with the Independent Society of Musicians (which includes public liability insurance), and the Association of the Teachers of Singing.
Please contact me if you have any concerns.

GPDR, Inclusion, Insurance, DBS and Child Safety
I hold a DBS certificate, and I have taken part in child protection as part of my job teaching in schools. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to see the certificate.
I am a member of the Independent Society of Musicians who also provide me with liability insurance, and I am a member of the Association of the Teachers of Singing.
I regularly update my skills with professional bodies to stay up-to-date with modern teaching practices. Please read more on my teaching page.
Any information I gather about a pupil/choir member is held securely and never shared, except occassionally when necessary with staff at Denmead Infant School. That information is then deleted once I am no longer working with the pupil.
Occassionally, I may make audio recordings, photos or videos to document progress, or to share our activities with the school or social media. You may opt-out of your child being included if you wish. Permission is asked in the initial sign-up form emailed to you.
I hold up-to-date child safety training, and I am happy to discuss any problems or worries you may have.
I run an inclusive and welcoming choir that aims to allow access to music
